When Things get Small in Splash Spring 2017
As humans, we tend to have a fairly descent idea of how the physical world works: we can do things like catching frisbees and stopping at traffic lights. However, during the last century physicists have discovered that at the subatomic scale- the world of the components of atoms- things get weird. Discover the uncertain, buzzing, unperceived quantum world which surrounds us.

Bringing the Sun to Us in Splash Spring 2017
Solar. Wind. Geothermal. Hydroelectric. Scientists are rushing to improve renewable energy technologies to accommodate our growing demand. However, there's one potential energy source that's often left out: fusion. Fusion uses the energy released by two atoms fusing together: it's the energy source of the sun, it's clean, it's safe, and it's very environmentally friendly. The drawback? The technology hasn't been developed yet. Learn about how fusion works, its benefits as an energy source, and what's holding development of this potentially world changing energy source back.

Intro to Modern Dance in Splash Spring 2017
During the beginning of the 20th century, there was a dance movement mirroring the free spirit and rebellion of jazz music. The founders of modern dance took the strict rules of ballet and broke as many as they could. Their goal? To find out where dance really comes from and its importance. Along the way they developed a dance style made to work with our bodies, not against them. Learn basics of fall and recovery, weight placement, and expressing ideas through motion. Attire: Wear something you can move in. For your feet socks or dance shoes would work, or you can dance barefoot (my favorite!)
