S213: The Future of Space Exploration in Splash Spring 2017 (Feb. 25, 2017)
Imagine taking off from the surface of Earth, embarking on a journey farther than any human has taken before. Where will you go? How will you travel? What will you need to take with you? Will your body be able to endure the trip? In this class, we will review current and potential future means of space exploration. Topics, depending on class interest, may include biological effects and limitations of space travel, current and futuristic propulsion technologies, potential targets for exploration, and reasons to explore. Come explore with us!


A218: Field Sketching in Splash Spring 2017 (Feb. 25, 2017)
This course will teach the basics of sketching from life in the field in a way that is accessible to all skill levels. Focusing on birds, we'll go over how to quickly sketch and have fun doing it!


H137: Magic and Morals for Muggles in Splash Spring 2016 (Feb. 27, 2016)
This is a class for Harry Potter fans who want to delve deeper into the morality behind some of the tougher decisions faced by our favorite characters. Come prepare to talk AND listen as we share our opinions about right and wrong in the wizarding world. If you want, bring ideas of morally ambiguous Harry Potter scenes that you want to discuss!


E6: Tinkering – Take Things Apart in Splash Spring 2014 (Mar. 29, 2014)
Have you ever just wanted to take something apart? Whether you’ve never touched a screwdriver or are an expert fixer, I welcome you to join me to work with tools, explore how something works, and have a lot of fun! This will be a relatively unstructured class where you’ll have the freedom to tinker with and take apart a machine we provide or something you bring (with permission) from home. Come ready to play, be persistent, and enjoy challenges.
